Go-Parts is committed to maintaining the trust and confidence of its customers and visitors on its websites. On this statement you will find how Go-Parts uses information about you, the actions it take to protect your privacy, and its commitment to data security. Go-Parts uses the information you provide us, such as your contact information including name, address and email address, to fulfill your requests for products and services, improve our services, conduct research, contact you regarding your product inquiry and/or current order. Go-Parts does not rent, sell, or share personal information about you with other people or nonaffiliated companies except as disclosed in this privacy policy. Your information will not be shared without your permission. Go-Parts does collect data at field level in real-time.

Personally Identifiable Information

Go-Parts uses cookies to help us manage your shopping cart. We use it to enable you to go in and out of our website while still maintaining the items in your cart. The "cookie" itself does not tell us who you are, your email address or anything else personal. Even without accepting a cookie you can still access most of the features on the site. We use cookies so that they can help provide our visitors with a better experience on our site. Your cookie is stored only on your own machine. It takes up only a tiny amount of disk space and does not contain any credit card, address, or other personal information. Some of our business partners (i.e. web analytics tracking utilities) set cookies on our site to analyze aggregate usage statistics.

Email Delivery and Opt-Out Policies

Go-Parts prefers to send e-mail communications only to customers who want to receive such communications. To that end, we make it easy to opt-out of our communications permanently, by simply clicking on the unsubscribe link that appears at the very bottom of every e-mail message we send to you from our subscriber-based system. Requests in writing or by phone will be honored within 24 hours, while requests made my e-mail directly, will be honored within 1-2 hours.

Please also keep in mind that e-mails confirming order information, e-mails containing shipment tracking information and so forth will not contain unsubscribe links, and do not have an opt-out procedure as they are transactional messages in nature and will be delivered at the time you place your order, and as necessary as your order is updated by our staff.

Security

The security of your personal information is important to us. When you enter sensitive information (such as credit card number and/or social security number) on our registration or order forms, we encrypt that information using secure socket layer technology (SSL).

We follow generally accepted industry standards to protect the personal information submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it. No method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure, however. Therefore, while we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

Log Files

By providing your phone number and consenting to SMS messaging, you agree to receive text messages related to your account, order updates, and promotional offers from Go-Parts. These messages are intended to provide you with important information regarding your transactions and engagement with our services. We respect your privacy, and you will not receive unrelated SMS messages.

Consent and Opt-Out

You can opt into SMS communications by providing your phone number and selecting the SMS opt-in option. You may revoke this consent at any time by replying "STOP" to any SMS message received. Opting out of SMS messages does not affect your ability to use other Go-Parts services.

Purpose and Frequency

SMS messages are limited to transaction updates, order management, and account management matters only. Message frequency varies.

Data Security and Compliance

Your phone number and consent records are securely stored and maintained in compliance with industry standards and applicable carrier policies to protect your privacy. We adhere to all carrier regulations to ensure responsible SMS usage. We will never share, trade, or otherwise sell your personal information such as Phone numbers and SMS consent to third parties under any circumstances.

Privacy and Data Handling Policy

Data Collection

We collect data solely for the purposes explicitly authorized under contractual agreements, and for order processing. Data collection is performed through secure channels, typically via Amazon APIs, secure data transfers, or other Amazon-approved methods.

  • Minimization Principle: Only data that is strictly necessary for the agreed purpose is collected.
  • Consent and Legality: Where applicable, data collection processes respect user consent and legal obligations.

Data Processing

All data is processed under the following guiding principles:

  • Purpose Limitation: Data is processed only for the purposes defined in our agreement with Amazon.
  • Confidentiality: Data processing is conducted within secure environments, with access restricted to authorized personnel on a need-to-know basis.
  • Integrity: Controls are in place to prevent unauthorized data modification.
  • Auditability: All processing activities are logged and monitored for traceability.

Data Storage

Data is stored securely in compliance with encryption, access control, and redundancy standards:

Encryption:

  • At Rest: Data is encrypted using AES-256 or stronger encryption standards.
  • In Transit: TLS 1.2+ is used to protect data during transfer.
  • Location: Data is stored in AWS regions approved by Amazon and compliant with applicable data residency laws.
  • Access Control: Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), least privilege principles, and MFA are enforced to restrict data access.
  • Backup and Recovery: Data is backed up regularly and stored with redundancy to ensure recoverability in case of loss

Data Use

We use Amazon data exclusively for the purposes defined in our contractual agreement. We prohibit:

  • Secondary use of data for profiling, analytics, or marketing.
  • Data aggregation or re-identification without Amazon's explicit authorization.
  • Training machine learning models or AI systems on Amazon data without prior written consent.

Data Sharing

We do not share Amazon PII data with any third parties

Data Retention and Disposal

PII data is retained for 30 days after the delivery of the order. PII data is disposed & replaced with dummy data.

Non - PII data is retained by the organization for metrics & statistic purposes

Employee Training and Awareness

All employees with access to Amazon data undergo mandatory training on data protection, privacy, and security practices:

  • Annual Refreshers: Updated to reflect new threats, regulations, and Amazon policies.
  • Role-Based Training: Tailored to the responsibilities and access level of each employee.
Terms of Use

Pricing & Orders

Price Changes: Prices are subject to change without notice. Once an order is placed, the price is locked in. If you find a lower price, request a price match (with proof) before the item is ordered. When comparing prices, consider the warranty, support, terms, and shipping rates of other companies.

Customer Responsibility: Go-Parts is not responsible for buyer's error. It is entirely your responsibility to ensure the part ordered is correct. We are not responsible for additional shipping charges if you provide an incorrect or incomplete address.

Verification & Security

We may require copies of your credit card (front & back) and a valid photo ID of the cardholder in the following situations:

  • Orders placed with a foreign-based bank credit card
  • Orders where the shipping address differs from the billing address
  • Orders shipping outside the U.S.
  • Orders flagged as a fraud risk by our payment system

These must be submitted via fax or email. Failure to provide verification upon request will result in cancellation of the order.

Payment Issues: A $30.00 fee will be assessed on all returned checks and credit card charge-backs lost by the customer.

Payment Processing: For some orders, it may take 24 to 48 hours for payment to settle while our system verifies billing and shipping information match.

Signature Confirmation: For orders totaling $100.00 or more where the billing address does not match the shipping address, the order may be shipped with signature confirmation. By placing such an order, you authorize an additional charge for signature confirmation.

Shipping Policies

Delivery Times: Go-Parts does not claim responsibility for the time it takes the shipping company to deliver your order. Delays are beyond our control once the order is given to the shipper. We do not ship on Saturday, Sunday, or holidays. All delivery times are quoted in business days, and the day of shipping is not considered a transit day. We do not guarantee the time of day an item will be delivered. The shipping cutoff time is 4 P.M. EST.

Address Accuracy: We always ship to the address you specify. If the courier returns the package due to an insufficient or incorrect address, the order will be refunded excluding freight fees for both ways.

Signature Requirements: If you do not request delivery with signature requirement, you agree to be entirely liable for non-receipt of package. Go-Parts assumes no responsibility for items shipped without signature requirement upon receipt.

International Orders: Items may have an additional handling fee based on size and/or weight. If your order is subject to this fee, you will be emailed for approval prior to shipment. Failure to approve the surcharge will result in cancellation. Freight will only be refunded if Go-Parts ships a damaged or incorrect item. This includes air freight, dimensional freight, customs fees, and return shipping charges.

Inspection & Damage Reporting

Upon Arrival: You are responsible for inspecting the part upon arrival. You must notify both Go-Parts and the delivery company of any damage within 5 days of receiving the package. We will not accept damage freight notifications after this time period. All damage notifications must be in writing by email or fax.

Installation: Installation of a damaged part voids any and all warranties. If you purchase a replacement elsewhere rather than allowing Go-Parts to ship a replacement, you will not receive a refund of any freight charges.

Incorrect Parts

If you have received an incorrect part, you must notify us within 5 business days of receiving it so we can replace it. No exceptions.

If Go-Parts ships an incorrect part, we reserve the right to send a replacement part to rectify the situation. You may not install an incorrect part - doing so will void any and all warranties. You will not be able to return an incorrect item for an exchange if it has been installed. You also may not return a part that is found to be incorrect if you have painted or altered it in any way.

Returns & RMA Process

RMA Required: All returns must have an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) or they will not be accepted. An RMA can be obtained through our RMA request form. The RMA number must be written on the original shipping box.

Return Window: No returns are allowed after 120 days of receiving products. Items purchased that are either not needed or no longer needed are not returnable for a refund after the initial allowed return period. This includes gifts, parts for vehicles that have been sold or damaged, and parts ordered in error.

Warranty vs. Returns: Warranty terms are for exchange only. Items returned without an RMA number will be held in warehouse, and no credit will be given. If you want the part back at this point, you must arrange return shipping.

Return Shipping: All authorized returns must be returned via traceable means (FedEx, UPS, USPS with tracking) to ensure safe return. Go-Parts recommends you insure your return. You are responsible for the safe return of the product. If a return arrives damaged, not in original packaging, or missing items, Go-Parts will hold the product and all packing materials for 30 days for the freight companies' inspection. It is your responsibility as the shipper to file a claim with the freight company. You will not receive credit or an exchange if the returned item is damaged in transit back to us.

Return Condition: All returns must be in the same condition as when received, in the original packaging, exactly as we sent it. DO NOT WRITE ON OR DAMAGE THE PART NUMBERS. Installed items can only be returned for a warranty exchange in case of manufacturer defect.

Re-Boxing Fees: Go-Parts will charge you for replacement of damaged, altered, missing, written-on, or taped-on contents or cartons. If the box is tarnished with added writing or markings, a re-boxing fee will be imposed: $10 for radiators, condensers, and fans; $5 for all other parts. We reserve the right to either refuse the return or contact you to work towards a resolution.

Lamp Returns: If shipping back lamps that were covered with a protective plastic sheet, make sure to cover them before shipping. Lens scratches are considered damage and will void any attempted return.

Discount Codes & Verification

Go-Parts offers discount coupons for students and faculty of specific universities/colleges. If you wish to use a discount code, Go-Parts reserves the right to request that you provide a valid school identification card that verifies your current association with the school, either as a student or faculty member. If you cannot provide the needed verification, you can choose to either cancel the order or pay the original price of the part.

Warranty Policy

Warranties are for replacement of the product(s) only, as determined by Go-Parts at our sole discretion. Warranty length is determined by the manufacturer. The warranty begins on the original date of purchase.

Making a Warranty Claim

If there is a problem with an installed part that falls under warranty, email cs@go-parts.com within 5 days of noticing the problem. To make a warranty claim, Go-Parts requires you keep the order number. The order number will be required if you make a warranty claim, no exceptions. Go-Parts cannot send a replacement unit before the defective item is received or a deposit is provided.

You may not continue to use the part in need of warranty. If you continue using the part, the warranty will be null and void, no exceptions.

Warranty Terms

Warranty coverage is for replacement of the part only. If a replacement is not available to ship within 15 business days of warranty notification, Go-Parts offers you an option to get a refund. If the part under warranty is no longer available in the same style, you will be provided with the newer style.

Warranty Shipping: Warranty items are shipped by the same means as the original order at your shipping expense. If you wish to upgrade the shipping to a faster method, you are responsible for the additional freight charges. Once the item is shipped, no changes can be made to the shipping address.

Our Warranty Does NOT Cover:

  • Shipping for any reason
  • Items installed on a vehicle different from the intended application
  • Labor, towing, rentals, storage, legal fees or lost wages under any circumstance
  • Parts that have been altered, abused or overheated
  • Light bulbs included with light assemblies
  • Parts that have not been properly installed or maintained
  • Parts that are used for racing purposes
  • Parts used on commercial vehicles

Product Accuracy

Go-Parts attempts to be as accurate as possible. However, Go-Parts does not warrant that product descriptions, images, pricing, or other contents of this site are accurate, complete, reliable, current, or error-free. If a product offered on the Go-Parts website is not as described, your sole remedy is to return it unused, uninstalled, and in its original condition within 120 days of purchase. Installation of an incorrect item voids any and all warranties or return options.

Warranty Transferability

Warranties are non-transferable. Go-Parts will replace any product listed with a lifetime warranty, which is returned prepaid with an RMA, when it has been determined by Go-Parts at its sole discretion that the product has failed due to defective materials or workmanship.

This warranty does not cover failure due to improper installation, maintenance, misuse, abuse, unauthorized repairs, modifications, alteration, freight charges, cost of removal, cost of replacement, losses due to downtime of the vehicle, normal wear and tear, and/or any subsequent or consequential damages.

This warranty is in lieu of all other warranties and/or representations expressed or implied, including, without limitations, warranties of merchantability and fitness for purpose and all other liabilities, including special or consequential damages, in connection with the sale or use of any product from Go-Parts. Any warranties implied by law are limited in duration to the duration of this warranty except in those states where prohibited by law.
